Heather’s Dinner of the Week – Best Burger Ever

When Heather isn’t busy being the best wedding photographer in New Orleans, she’s also keeping me fed really well! We had a great day off yesterday starting with a trip to the local Farmer’s Market with our girls. We bought two pounds of amazing grass fed beef, some jalapeño goat cheese, local tomatoes, a packet of organic ranch seasoning, and the freshest milk you could imagine. Heather was so excited to get cooking! She began dinner by making some incredible homemade hand cut (and baked) french fries that she tossed with the ranch seasoning and garlic salt. She transformed the beef into the best burger I have ever had. Ever! She roasted the tomatoes and caramelized some vidalia onions to crown the meat she grilled on our charcoal grill out back. She toasted some whole wheat buns and spread a good bit of the jalapeño goat cheese on them, then tossed some organic spring mix with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lime to finish the burgers. We ate everything. All of it!!!
