new orleans engagement at the Fly – Titine and Rachel

The weather was looking like it was going to rain, but with a sudden opening of the sky and the sun showing it’s face, Titine and Rachel knew the best place to catch the sunset for their New Orleans engagement was at the Fly behind the Audubon Zoo. We first met at the Hollygrove Market & Farm which was a welcomed change of pace for us. We love shooting in offbeat and quirky locations away from the more typically sought after spots. After the small urban farm, we headed behind the zoo for the popular riverfront hangout known as “The Fly”. When we got there, we weren’t the only ones who thought it was a great afternoon to hangout. There was a college Greek party or something going on with what had to be almost 1000 college kids. No matter, we went to where Rachel asked Titine to be her wife which was just far enough away from the crowd to feel like the whole park was ours.

The thing that brought me into this couple’s shoot and what made my job so easy was the connection that these two lovely ladies had for one another. There is a real genuineness that comes from them and it reminds me of why I do what I do and why it’s so important in the lives of all of our couples. I couldn’t be more excited to help these two share their love when they walk down the aisle.
