New Orleans wedding at Latrobe’s on Royal – Kathryn and Blaine

Kathryn and Blaine came all the way from Canada to have their New Orleans wedding at Latrobe’s on Royal in the heart of the French Quarter. Their day began at The Olivier House hotel where the bride and her maids prepared for the big event. We really love this hotel with its tons of character and every single room being uniquely decorated.  Kathryn’s room literally had a giant tree growing right in the middle of it!

Kathryn’s father recently passed so she brought his toolbox down to New Orleans so a little piece of him was with her on her wedding day. It’s so amazingly sweet to see what couples will do to honor their loved ones in their own special ways.

Kathryn and Blaine decided to do a first look before the ceremony so we went out on the balcony that’s perched over the hotel’s courtyard. It was their that they shared a sweet moment to themselves and we hit the road! Latrobe’s was gorgeous as always, and after the ceremony in the carriage house Kathryn and Blaine were introduced to the main ballroom for some very special toasts from family and friends. After the toasts everyone had cake, drank some libations, and danced their behinds off! before the night came to an end, Smitty Dee’s Brass Band came in and made the entire night even more incredible. The band was led by the Zulu Tramps and we have never had such a lively second line through the French Quarter! We went down Bourbon street and literally half of the French Quarter joined in! We had a hard time seeing who was a wedding guest and who just hopped in and started dancing. 🙂

Weddings by Lulu coordinated the entire day and everything we off without a hitch! It was perfect and we wish Kathryn and Blaine many happily wedded years together!
